Biography

Leone Cadieux, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at age 94. She was born in Monee, IL to Ralph and Virginia Parks. Ralph worked as a glass blower in Chicago Heights.

At 18, she married Lawrence Cadieux of Manteno, IL and in 1940 they moved to Aurora. Lawrence worked for the Austin-Western Company.

Leone was a nurse’s aide and volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital (now Provena Mercy Center) and Hines V. A. Hospital. She was also a regular visitor to Elmwood Nursing Home. She was a member of the West Aurora Church of God and ladies auxiliaries at Wayside Cross and Jennings Terrace.

She is survived by two sons; Lawrence (Joanne) and Charles (Gayle) along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

What a glorious reunion awaits her! She will be buried beside her beloved husband of 44 years at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 12:30 PM until time of service 1:30 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Aurora Church of God, P.O. Box 1326, Aurora, IL 60507.
