Life Legacy
Clifford C. Hayden, 70, of Sugar Grove went to be with the Lord forever on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Lutheran General Hospital. He was born May 14, 1939 in Aurora the son of the late George and Camilla Hayden.
In his youth, Clifford attended Main Baptist Church in Aurora. He was a 1957 graduate of East Aurora High School. Following his graduation, Clifford served in the U.S. Marines from 1958-1962. He worked at the College of DuPage for twenty nine years, where he was the supervisor in the Department of Operations. Clifford, and his wife Susan, lived in Wheaton from 1970 until 1996 before moving back to the Aurora area.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Susan of Sugar Grove; his children, Lisa Hayden of Aurora, Rodney (Sophia) Hayden of Aurora, Reginald (Carleen) Hayden of Ca., Troy (Kellie) Hayden of Kansas and Kerry (Sharhonda) Hayden of Aurora as well as twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Also surviving are Clifford’s brothers and sisters, Camille Smith of New Jersey, Herb Hayden of Indiana, Betty Riles of Ca., Cordell Carter of Nevada, Arlene Mayo of Ca., Marlene May of Texas, Patricia McKee of Wisconsin and Richard Hayden of Aurora.
In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Hudson and a brother, Thomas Hayden.
Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Village Bible Church, Route 47 and Bliss Rd. Sugar Grove with a visitation from 11:30 AM until the service hour. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at The Healy, 370 Division Dr. Sugar Grove.
